Kaspa is a proof-of-work network, and PoW mining hardware runs continuously to contribute hashrate. That makes the source and cost stability of electricity one of the most important variables in running mining infrastructure over the long term.

Kasper Transactions is solar-powered, drawing on Florida Sun solar power for its operations. Solar-aligned compute was the original premise the company set out to test back in 2023, under the project name Kas-Hman Xact: could clean, solar-aligned compute reliably support Kaspa's blockDAG settlement flow.

That early groundwork validated the model, and solar-aligned power sourcing has remained a consistent part of the company's approach through its move to IceRiver KS7-class hardware.
