2023: origins
Started as Kas-Hman Xact
Kasper Transactions began in 2023 with a small cluster of IceRiver KS1 miners, under the original project name Kas-Hman Xact. The goal from day one was straightforward: test whether clean, solar-aligned compute could reliably support Kaspa's blockDAG settlement flow.
The IceRiver KS1 is Kaspa's original 2023-era cluster hardware, an entry-level kHeavyHash ASIC miner. It was the right tool for the job at that stage: proving the concept before committing to larger-scale, more efficient hardware.
That validation period mattered. It confirmed that solar-aligned compute could reliably support the demands of Kaspa's fast blockDAG settlement flow before Kasper Transactions committed to scaling up.
2025 to 2026: the leapfrog
Moving to KS7-class hardware
Kasper Transactions is strategically leapfrogging to KS7-class hardware in 2025 and 2026. This is an active transition, not a completed changeover. The move is meant to unlock major gains in efficiency, throughput, and long-term reward stability compared with the original KS1 cluster.
